Digitization Learning Modules
Train and learn how to digitize audio-cassette tapes!
These lessons were created to be able to teach people digitization without being able to hold in-person workshops. This course would normally be taught over two days, but in an online format you are better able to work through it at your own pace. There will no doubt be questions that arise from each lesson. There also has been a FPCC Digitization Facebook Group created, and it is encouraged for you to join to connect with other digitizers and ask questions.Â
You may find it helpful to put each lesson into practice as you go instead of reading through all the lessons at once and then trying to begin. Â
There are many steps and processes to think about before the actual digitization of cassettes begins, so be patient and take your time. The end goal is for you not only have your cassettes digitized but that they are organized, preserved and easy to maintain for as long as possible.
