If you're wondering how to find entries on FirstVoices, it's as easy as using the new and improved search bar in the top right-hand corner of the website. Test it out by searching for a word or phrase you'd like to learn!

If you are on the FirstVoices homepage, you can use the search bar to search for words, phrases, songs and stories across all language sites.

If you are on a specific FirstVoices language site, for example Nisga'a, you can use the search bar to search for words, phrases, songs and stories in that specific language.

Can't find the word or phrase that you're looking for?

If you're looking for a specific word or phrase in a language, and your FirstVoices language site doesn't have it available, please contact the language administrator listed on the Learn Our Language page of your FirstVoices site to let them know.

If your search results aren't displaying an entry that exists on your language site, it sounds like you've found a bug! Please contact hello@firstvoices.com to let us know!

We are working on implementing a new feature that allows you to send new entry requests directly to a language administrator, or report an error to us by clicking a button on the search results page.
