What’s new?

Dashboard Reports for language teams

New Reports area of the language team Dashboard

Trying to filter through all the words and phrases your team has created? Reports and Advanced Search/Filters are now available for language teams! Choose from several “Quick Reports” that were available on the old platform, or build your own list by mixing and matching from the new advanced filter options.

Reports and Advanced Search/Filters are currently available for Language Administrators and Editors.

  • Use the Reports option in the Dashboard sidebar to find quick, commonly used reports.

  • From the Reports page or the Edit Words/Phrases page, build your own custom list using new filtering and sort options.

  • Knowledge Base article: coming soon!

New This Week / Statistics widget

The New This Week / Statistics widget is now available for all language sites! This widget automatically updates with information about the newest content on the language site. If the site hasn’t been updated within 30 days, it displays totals of all content on the site.

This widget is automatically generated for your language site and appears on your homepage by default. Language Administrators can add it to other pages or move it as desired.

What’s improved?

General improvements

  • Find FirstVoices Keyboards easily. Sites with FirstVoices desktop keyboards now have links to the keyboard on their “Resources < Keyboards” page.

  • Delete pages from stories. A delete button has been added for story pages.

  • Confirmation message before deleting Speakers. A message has been added before an Admin or Editor deletes a language Speaker, since this action is permanent and may affect how audio files display.

  • Improved dropdown option ordering. The order of options in various dropdowns has been tweaked to be more intuitive.

  • Homepage optimizations and improvements.

Bug fixes

  • Fewer error messages for Assistants. The behaviour of the Dashboard has been improved for Assistants so fewer errors are displayed. (If your language team has Assistants and you have feedback about what actions they should be able to take, contact hello@firstvoices.com!)

  • Fixed issues when searches return no results.

  • Fixed display issues in audio playback bar.

Knowledge Base updates
