Add information to your language site homepage


Each community site on is extensively customizable to reflect community identity and decisions. Your site can be edited by navigating through the general FirstVoices community portal and selecting your community site. You can add and edit these features:

  • Text sections (e.g. About Us)
  • News
  • Related Links
  • Banner
  • Logo
  • Portal Greeting

Only Language Administrators can edit the site landing page!

Check with your FirstVoices team regarding what role and permissions you have on the site.


Steps for editing directly on your community page

  1. Use your FirstVoices login and enter your Workspace
  2. Click the pencil icon (if it is present)
  3. Enter and format text to your liking
  4. Save the changes
  5. Publish the changes if you want the public to view them

Steps for editing through the Edit Portal Form

(Use this form to edit the text and audio for your site's greeting and images)

  1. In your workspace, navigate to the top of the page and enter the pink "Edit Portal" button
  2. Here, you can enter the text, upload the audio, and change your greeting, banner, and logo image on your community site
  3. Format any text fields that you like
  4. After finishing the edits, save and then publish changes to make them viewable
