Module 13: Summary and Additional Resources
Congratulations on Completing DiGI Training!
In the last module of this training series, you will be reminded of some of the major points covered in the past lessons.
If you would like a refresher on any of the contents in these other modules, it is encouraged to go back and review them at your convenience.
Module 13 also houses information and links to other digitization partners and resource developers that may be relevant to you, including the Indigitization Toolkit with the University of British Columbia's Indigitization Program. These partners in the field also helped to develop the digitization materials here at FPCC.
Other resources and professional networks that may be of interest to you as a DiGI technician include:
the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives: Best Practices for Storing, Archiving and Preserving Data
the Archives Association of British Columbia: Indigenous Archives and Record-keeping
the Sustainable Heritage Network: Digital Heritage Resources
Local Contexts (Culturally-response labelling): Local ContextsÂ
the British Columbia Heritage Emergency Response Network: British Columbia Heritage Emergency Response Network
the Canadian Conservation Institute: Canadian Conversation Institute
the Yukon Council of Archives: Yukon Council of Archives
Â
This list will grow as resources become more readily available. If you know of any interesting Indigenous language preservation and archiving resources, please feel free to share them with Ben (ben@fpcc.ca), James (james@fpcc.ca), or in the FPCC Digitization Facebook Group with your fellow peers directly.
